Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Specbook (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

• Account information — your email address (or the private relay address if you use Sign in with Apple), your username, and optional profile details (display name, bio).
• Your content — the recipes, versions, tasting notes and any photos you create or upload.
• Purchases — your Specbook Pro subscription or lifetime status, processed through RevenueCat and Apple. We never receive your card or payment details.
• Identifiers — an account user ID used to link your data to you.

How we use it

To operate the app: sign you in, sync your library, power community features (publishing, forking, lineage), process and restore purchases, and respond to support requests.

What we don’t do

We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising.

Service providers

We share data only with the processors that run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage and hosting.
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management.
• Apple — App Store, Sign in with Apple, and payment processing.

Where your data lives & how long we keep it

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (United States region) and retained while your account is active.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, delete individual recipes, and permanently delete your entire account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account permanently erases your recipes, versions and profile.

Children

Specbook is not directed to children. The app is rated 17+ and intended for adults of legal drinking age.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date.
